Further Reading For Clients
What can I expect at a first treatment?
At your first treatment, you can expect a full health consultation to take place, to firstly find out what you are seeking Reflexology for, and secondly, to find out what existing health conditions you may have, if any. The consultation should last around 15 minutes, and if you haven't had a Reflexology treatment before, I will explain what will happen, and what you can expect, both during, and after a treatment. Once this is over, you can expect to lie on a very comfortable therapy bed to relax, and enjoy some much needed me time while I work the reflexes of your feet, and leave you hopefully feeling both relaxed, and energised during, and afterwards.
What is Reflexology?
This is a question that a lot of people want to know, especially if they haven't experienced Reflexology before. Reflexology works on the idea that the feet are a map of the body, and so working the reflexes that are found in the feet effectively work all of the organs found in the body, and in turn, this helps to put the body back in to balance. Did you know that Reflexology dates back as far as 2500BC, with evidence found that a form of Reflexology was being practiced in Chinese, and Egyptian cultures? It is believed that Reflexology was used by many different races, including the American Indians.
